Working on handball entails a much broader spectrum of work than "merely" concentrating on competitions, tournaments and active handball players of the senior categories.

To guarantee the continuous success of the sport, also in the future, is it very important to make handball accessible to children and pupils by providing them - and their coaches and teachers - with the means and facilities to play handball.

The EHF will organise a conference focused "Handball at School" dated 18-19 August 06 on the occasion of the Men's 20 European Championship in Innsbruck/Austria. Our aim is to collect and discuss ideas on the topic "Handball at Schoool" which shall help National Federations, teachers, educational facilities and parents to implement and support Handball on school level. The conference will be addressed to all our National Federations and will cover the following topics: * Motivation of children / pupils * Motivation of parents / teachers / universities * Publications / EHF Handball-at-School package This conference shall give us both new and concrete directions and ideas on already existing and successful programmes.
